31 Months

George is 31 months old today!
In that week between Christmas and New Year's, we had a snow day

We took George to Meanwood Park

George's first snowman

Day out in York--we started with a visit to a model shop
We went to York Minster--they still had Christmas decorations and the Nativity scene up through until Epiphany (6 January)

Their Advent wreath had all five candles lit, too

We went to Skipton for Richard's birthday--George loved the castle!

Happy birthday Richard!
George and I on the way to Minneapolis--it was his first flight with a seat of his own! He hated wearing the seatbelt, but overall it was pretty good

Storytime with Aunt Kelly and Charlie!

George had a great time playing in the snow

First time sledding!

He loved it and said "I go fast!"

So excited to have proper Mexican food! Lime Jarritos and enchiladas verdes--it was everything I dreamed it would be! And George napped the whole time, so I had a lovely, relaxed dining experience

George "helping" with the laundry

Playing with Grandma's sunglasses
George stole my eggnog

George took awhile to warm up to the splash park, but he had a good time!

Cuddles with cousin William!

George loved the Minnesota Zoo--we watched the shark feeding and a bird show

He had a great time at the Transportation Museum, too--he's crazy about trains these days!

Aunt Molly's happy place, Cracker Barrel!

Introducing George to the best mac & cheese ever

It's always hard to say goodbye, but at least we got to eat Cracker Barrel first!

Back in Leeds--we went to the City Museum and George loved the construction gear

2018 has been a lot of fun so far! We rang in the new year at home--George went to bed at his usual time, and we stayed up playing games and watching movies until midnight. We celebrated Richard's birthday with an overnight visit to Skipton--we went around the castle and had dinner at our favourite pub, the Woolly Sheep Inn. A few days later, George and I were off to Minnesota to visit Grandma, Aunt Kelly, Uncle Jason, William & Charlie. We had a great visit, with a second Christmas, lots of fun food & presents & shopping, I got to see two movies in the theatre, and George loved playing with his cousins. I love seeing them together--he just idolizes them and thinks everything they do is hilarious & awesome. Since we've been home, we've settled back into our routine with work and daycare. It took George a few days to get over jet-lag and get used to sleeping in his crib again (he was spoiled with all the co-sleeping!), but all three of us are healthy at the moment and George has started sleeping through the night again.

Firsts this month:
First time flying as a fully paid-up, seat holding passenger (first flight over age 2)
First time sledding
First taste of eggnog
First kid's meal at Cracker Barrel
First water park visit
