The National Railway Museum in York has an exhibition running for the 75th anniversary of the Mallard steam train breaking a speed record (125 miles an hour, and it's still the record holder!). So a couple of weeks ago we went to York after church
First, though, we had to get lunch in town--we got paninis and went to the Museum Gardens
Their models are actual little steam locomotives--they run on ethanol and real steam comes out!
The famous Mallard
This little guy in the shop looks just like Ivor the Engine!
