Springtime in Yorkshire

Our trip to Holmfirth, a lovely little town south of Huddersfield

Holmfirth is where the TV series "Last of the Summer Wine" was filmed--this was Sid's Cafe in the show

The Picturedrome cinema, est. 1913

Love how this bus shelter sticks out over the river

I made Easter cupcakes for our church coffee morning fundraiser--these were chocolate & the others were vanilla with green coconut flakes

Our new magazine rack

Golden Acre Park in bloom

Biscuit in a serious mood

We went out to the RSPB sanctuary near Castleford for a walk

We didn't see many birds, but it's a lovely park!

Biscuit loves being in bags and boxes

We went for a walk on the canal near Skipton on Good Friday

Ducklings!

Lambs!

Lovely spot for a picnic lunch--I had a BLT to celebrate the end of Lent, and it was delicious!

On Saturday, we went to a couple of museums in Manchester--the Imperial War Museum is next to MediaCity, where ITV and BBC are located

BBC's MediaCity offices--this is where we've been sending placement students to CBBC and CBeebies all these years!

Imperial War Museum

We went to the People's History Museum, too--it was really good! I loved this 19th century Labour poster. It shows how nothing's changed--we still have problems with wealthy tax dodgers today.
