Liverpool

On the day before the Liverpool trip, we went shopping downtown in Leeds and had lunch at Whitelocks, one of our favourite pubs--it was established in 1715!

At the Merseyside Maritime Museum in Liverpool--the painting of the Celtic, the ship that Grandma Pearson took from Liverpool to Ellis Island

The Magical Mystery Tour, a bus tour around the suburbs where the Beatles grew up, with their homes & schools & places from their songs

Albert Dock

George Harrison's birthplace

Strawberry Fields Gate

Mendips, where John Lennon was raised by his Aunt Mimi

The house where Paul McCartney grew up

Mathew Street

This new Titanic-themed hotel opened recently--so tacky...And the Titanic didn't even sail from Liverpool. It was built in Belfast and sailed from Southampton!

At the recreated Cavern Club in the Beatles Story museum
